Environmental issues still too low in state priorities lohud.com The Journal News: "Somewhat lost in the media coverage of Elliot Spitzer's State of the State speech yesterday was what the first-term governor expects to do for New York's environment in 2008 and beyond.
There was plenty in his second annual talk about lowering property taxes, providing more funding for education, mending political fences and even renaming the Triborough Bridge after former Sen. Robert F. Kennedy, and most of that made it onto New Yorkers' radar screens."
