How much publicity is our area doing on VHS?

Our state, to my knowledge, has not engaged in a massive campaign to educate the public on Viral Hemorrhagic Septicemia (VHS) as Wisconsin has. Most people who I ask have not even heard of this invasive fish disease. Why not?
